Brief & process
Following a period of significant growth and with ambitious plans for the future, Renal Services approached Lewis Buckley at Directorbank to source a Chief Development Officer.
Key requirements of the role would include overall responsibility for the business development function including the roll out of new clinics and other growth opportunities, and securing and managing tenders at the highest level.
The ideal candidate would be a results-orientated business development professional with a demonstrable track record of driving growth and performance. A background in healthcare services and knowledge of the NHS, public procurement processes and running a multi-site business model was also specified.
After a focused research process of identifying and assessing members of our candidate network, coupled with fresh and comprehensive search activity, Lewis delivered a shortlist of five candidates for client interview. Glen Ewing was successfully appointed to the position.
Glen is an accomplished Business Development Director within the healthcare sector. He has an impressive record of identifying and developing growth programmes with experience of the NHS tender process and improving tender submission success rates. His career history includes Head of Business Development at 4ways Healthcare (remote radiology reporting services) and BMI Healthcare (an independent provider of private healthcare offering treatment to private, medically insured and NHS patients).
