The LivingCare Group is a privately-owned, multi-site provider of healthcare services in primary care settings. With a mix of NHS and private pay solutions, its services have been developed in response to local demand and reflect the changing face of healthcare delivery to improve patient accessibility whilst ensuring excellent standards of care.
Founded by Dr Stephen Feldman in 2002, the Group has grown to six sites nationally with one in Leeds and five across London and the South East. The business also delivers NHS services across three further sites in West Yorkshire.
Brief & process
As part of an ambitious growth plan, and with future investment in mind, Stephen approached Directorbank’s Lewis Buckley to source an experienced Managing Director. The successful candidate would assist Stephen in defining and driving strategy, improving operations, leading the team, and building relationships with relevant health bodies.
The ideal candidate would be a strong and pragmatic healthcare operator with demonstrable experience of driving growth and profitability in a multi-site business and a track record of building commercial relationships and operational partnerships.
After a thorough search process combining Directorbank’s candidate network with new mapping activity, five candidates were put forward for client interview. Helen White was successfully appointed to the position.
Helen started her career as a Nurse and rose quickly through the ranks taking on larger and more challenging strategic and operational management positions. After successfully managing a number of hospitals for Ramsay Health Care UK (a leading provider of independent hospital services), Helen was promoted to the role of Regional Director South assuming leadership responsibility for eight acute hospitals and one neuro unit. Most recently she led the Northern region, overseeing nine acute units and driving high quality outcomes for patients whilst ensuring growth and long term profitability for the Group.
