Directorbank offers its corporate clients a new and very different way of sourcing high quality senior management – at speed. Tailor-made shortlists can be put together in a matter of days and, because the candidates are immediately available, an appointment can be made in as short a time as it takes to conduct interviews and take references. Providing exclusivity is granted during this period, Directorbank is usually prepared to work on a flexible and competitive basis – with fees for non-executive director appointments often payable only on appointment.
Here are some of the ways we work in the corporate market:
Advertised Search and Selection
Directorbank offers a full suite of executive recruitment services including advertised search and selection. Where an executive appointment is to be made we will advise our clients on a thorough approach to searching the candidate market and will design a bespoke campaign to suit our clients requirements.
Flotations
Directorbank is an immediate source of non-executive directors, with bespoke shortlists provided against any brief within seven working days (or less if required). All interviews are arranged by Directorbank, and early stage or in-depth references can be taken on request. A typical assignment can be completed in four weeks – 10 days being the record to date!
Public Companies
Following the Higgs Report, general City sentiment has demanded that boards conduct a much wider, benchmarked search for non-executive directors. Drawing from a very broad base of high achievers – FTSE or international directors, entrepreneurs, senior women, top professionals and private equity successes as well as a huge bank of experienced finance directors - Directorbank can match any combination of requirements.
Shortlists are provided within seven working days and the rest of the process is managed hands-on by Directorbank at a pace which suits the client’s own requirements. This may include keeping a watching brief for the right individual over a six to 12 month period.
An increasing number of public companies are using Directorbank for finance director and chief executive appointments and the company can show several case histories where heavier weight than expected individuals have been appointed simply because they were immediately available in the market. Directorbank also has the research facilities and resources to conduct a full headhunting service.
Family Businesses
An increasing number of family businesses are waking up to the realisation that one or two strong non-executive appointments can transform a company, both strategically and politically. A certain type of non-executive director is required, however – a listener and politician who can command the respect of all the shareholding participants and cut through family indulgences and prejudices. Directorbank has probably the largest number of UK based, experienced NXD’s of family businesses as well as entrepreneurs and buy-in/buy-out directors who have successfully exited their own businesses and who understand the mentality of company ownership.

Other Corporates
Directorbank will happily undertake assignments for other organisations – VCT’s, Building Societies and other Mutuals, not-for-profit and governmental organisations and charities.
Fees
Recruitment assignments and consultancy work for corporate clients are charged at normal recruitment industry rates.
