Life in the Boardroom, the Chairman and Non-Executive Director survey, has been published annually since 1991 by MM & K, the leading remuneration consultants, and is firmly established as the authoritative analysis of director's commitments, remuneration and views on corporate governance.

Over the past two years, Hanson Green has worked alongside MM & K to carry out the survey and for the 2009 issue Directorbank joined forces with its sister company to increase the number of participants by 35%.

Incorporating the current opinions of 375 chairmen and non-executive directors from FTSE and AIM listed companies as well as unquoted businesses, the survey covers a wide range of topics. Questions have been answered, not only on standard issues pertaining to boardroom life such as remuneration, time commitment and board effectiveness, but also on highly topical issues such as the credit crunch and attention to risk.
